Schumer Reveals His Inner Thug

If you wonder why the Democratic Party attracts street thugs like Antifa and the old ACORN – not to mention the recruiting of good old fashion street gangs – you just need to look at leadership.

You may recall how former Attorney General Eric Holder twisted the phrase “when they go low, we go high” into “when they go low, we kick them hard.”  We have the latest example in the person of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

In defense of a woman’s dubious “right” to terminate the life of an unborn child, Schumer went after the Supreme Court.  Standing on the steps of the high court, Schumer did not just express concern that Roe v. Wade could be overturned in the future, he went after the justices themselves – well, at least the conservative justices, who he mentioned by name.

In a Hilter-esque style – yelling as his fists pounded the podium – Schumer warned:

“I want to tell you Gorsuch. I want to tell you Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

Schumer continued with his threats against Republicans and the political right.

“We will tell President Trump and Senate Republicans who have stacked the court with right-wing ideologues, that you’re gonna be gone in November and you will never be able to do what you’re trying to do now, ever, ever again. You hear that over there on the far-right? You’re gone in November.”

Schumer timed his remarks outside the Court with deliberations over a case in Louisiana that would require abortion doctors to have “admitting privileges” at a hospital.  It is claimed that that would protect women in emergency cases where the clinic does not have ample emergency equipment and personnel.  Potentially, that would leave only one doctor in Louisiana allowed to perform abortions.  Very few doctors will – and they are almost always outside the traditional professional medical community.

Schumer’s remarks were so outlandish, outrageous and dangerous that they brought an unprecedented public rebuke from Chief Justice John Roberts.  In his statement, Roberts wrote:

 “This morning, Senator Schumer spoke at a rally in front of the Supreme Court while a case was being argued inside. Senator Schumer referred to two Members of the Court by name and said he wanted to tell them that ‘You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You will not know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.’ Justices know that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous. All Members of the Court will continue to do their job, without fear or favor, from whatever quarter.”

In making these threats against justices of the Supreme Court, Schumer has proven that despite his high office he retains the soul of a New York street thug.
