Rumor has it that former acting director of the FBI Andrew McCabe will be indicted on federal charges, so says former Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker on Wednesday.

Whitaker bases his belief on a reported meeting recently between the former FBI Deputy Director’s attorneys and Justice Department officials.

In an interview with Fox News, Whitaker explained he reached his conclusion of the imminent indictment after “McCabe’s lawyers’ meeting with Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, which The New York Times reported Monday took place last week, appears to have been what’s known as a “DAG appeal.”

Whitaker went on to explain that “sophisticated defense lawyers” ask for the meetings “to lay out your case as to why your client shouldn’t be charged.”

Adding, “I have not seen a DAG appeal be successful. I have seen them many times, again, with sophisticated defense lawyers, but this is usually when somebody is imminently going to be charged, they try to get to the deputy attorney general and plead their case,” said Whitaker, who was a U.S. attorney and chief of staff to Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Also according to the New York Times McCabe’s attorneys met twice recently, with Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen regarding their investigation of the former Deputy Director.

McCabe was fired from the FBI on March 16th, 2018 after serving nearly 21-years, for lying to investigators, at least 4-times regarding his roll in leaking sensitive information in October 2016 to the media. Both the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility along with Justice Department inspector general determined that he displayed a “lack of candor under oath.”

The IG investigation determined that “On May 9, 2017, when questioned under oath by FBI agents from INSD, McCabe lacked candor when he told the agents that he had not authorized the disclosure to the WSJ and did not know who did.  This conduct violated FBI Offense Code 2.6 (Lack of Candor –Under Oath).”

“We further found that on July 28, 2017, when questioned under oath by the OIG in a recorded interview, McCabe lacked candor when he stated: (a) that he was not aware of Special Counsel having been authorized to speak to reporters around October 30 and (b) that, because he was not in Washington, D.C., on October 27 and 28, 2016, he was unable to say where Special Counsel was or what he was doing at that time.  This conduct violated FBI Offense Code 2.6 (Lack of Candor – Under Oath).

“We additionally found that on November 29, 2017, when questioned under oath by the OIG in a recorded interview during which he contradicted his prior statements by acknowledging that he had authorized the disclosure to the WSJ, McCabe lacked candor when he: (a) stated that he told Comey on October 31, 2016, that he had authorized the disclosure to the WSJ; (b) denied telling INSD agents on May 9 that he had not authorized the disclosure to the WSJ about the PADAG call; and (c) asserted that INSD’s questioning of him on May 9 about the October 30 WSJ article occurred at the end of an unrelated meeting when one of the INSD agents pulled him aside and asked him one or two questions about the article. This conduct violated FBI Offense Code 2.6 (Lack of Candor – Under Oath).”

Whitaker is confident that McCabe will be indicted not only because of the meetings between McCabe’s lawyers and Justice Department officials, but also because he (Whitaker), oversaw the Justice Department while the agency was investigating whether McCabe lied to the FBI about his role in leaking information about an investigation of the Clinton Foundation to the media in October of 2016.

McCabe of course has denied any wrongdoing and has actually filed a lawsuit against both the FBI and the Justice Department claiming that he was fired because of political pressure from President Trump.

Moreover the disgraced former FBI official has joined CNN as a  law enforcement analyst, which should give you an idea how absurd this news organization has become in hiring morally corrupt individuals like former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, to name just  a few.

I think that on the yearly poligraph test given to these people that the question: do you believe that your political beliefs could impact on the ability to do your duty? Should be one of the questions looked at for retention. If they cannot answer no then they should be immediately terminated.
