Democrats treat police like the enemy

From the end of the Civil War to this day, African descendant citizens have been victimized by institutional racism in the old solid Democrat southland and in the segregated cities controlled for generations by Democratic political machines.  They used the institutions of government to segregate and oppress black Americans – and it is going on in our major urban centers to this day.

When Colorado Democrat senator and presidential candidate Michael Bennet said that our city schools are as segregated today as they were in the 1960s – specifically mentioning Los Angeles and San Francisco —  he seemed oblivious to the fact that he was  pointing the accusatory finger at his own political party.  As does civil rights activist (agitator) Al Sharpton, when he cites police brutality as one of the leading issues in institutional racism – leading demonstrations against police in one Democrat-controlled city after another, including his hometown of New York.

Democrat Mayor David Briley, of Nashville, Tennessee,  issued a statement directed to the Hispanic members of his community.  He gave it in Spanish.  His speech was a tutorial on how to break the law and then avoid the law – and to disrespect the law.

It is no small irony that black Americans give overwhelming political support to the very political party they repeatedly demonstrate, protest and riot against.  One of the main focal points of protest has been the racist element in the police departments.  We have seen black frustration with the police actions involving minorities being a mainstay in civil unrest across the nation – virtually always against police departments in cities with generational Democrat leadership.

Protests against real racism in Democrat-run police departments has been superseded by Democrat hostility against virtually all police agencies.

It has gone far beyond opposition to instance of police racism – a legitimate concern — into an attack on policing period.  It has gone beyond seeking justice to exceeding justice – putting themselves as a vigilante force designed to thwart the very concept of policing.  Rather than calling on police to address any specific problems, Democrats  have now made police the enemy of the people – at least in their minds.

In New York, citizens have taken up a practice of dumping water on uniformed officers – both male and female – and in some cases pelting them with Chinese food in order (take-out order?) to humiliate.   How this advances any worthy cause is indeterminant.   And these officers are made to stand down by Democrat Bill de Blasio, who has had a history of hostility to police.

Disdain for police has resulted in cops being refused service in restaurants by radicalized employees.  Like-minded customers have expressed their “uneasiness” in patronizing establishments in which police officers were fellow patrons.  (One can only wonder how uneasy they would feel if some nut-case shooter were to enter when there were no armed officers on the scene.  But I digress.)

These left-wingers now claim that uniformed officers “scare the children.”  What ever became of the “officer friendly” program designed to have children see the police in their primary role as their protectors?

The widespread resentment of police is more than prankish insults and liberal snowflake paranoia.  The anti-police tone among progressive Democrats has arguably encouraged more serious violent attacks on police – including cold-blooded assassinations.

Responding to the shooting of six police officers in Philadelphia, U.S. Attorney William McSwain lashed out at the local Democrat District Attorney Larry Krasner for promoting an atmosphere of hostility toward police with his inflammatory rhetoric against the local police and constant accusations of racism.

The growing attacks on law enforcement has expanded to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.   ANTIFA – the Democrats most active paramilitary terrorist force since the Ku Klux Klan – has mounted ongoing attacks on ICE facilities and personnel.

Democrat elected officials – from mayors to members of Congress – have not only encouraged and assisted illegal aliens to evade and resist ICE arrests even though they were ordered to be deported by the courts.  The have ordered local police departments to not cooperate with ICE.  They have compared them – and our border guards – to Nazis running concentration camps.

Employees of companies like Google are protesting against cooperation or contracts their companies may have with police departments, ICE and even the military.

The Democrats’ contempt for law enforcement Is constant and pervasive.  Attacking law enforcement has become part of the DNA of the left-wing that currently controls the Party.  Is it any wonder why those on the left who are prone to violence – such as ANTIFA — are increasing their attacks on police – verbally and physically?

We are supposed to be a nation that operates under a rule-of-law.  Police are essential in enforcing the law.  That is what they do.  Yes, there are bad cops, but damn few.

It is particularly offensive when we see the police being attacked for doing nothing more than enforcing our rule-of-law.  And we have too many Democrats who seem to believe that the law does not apply to them or to those they choose to exempt from obeying the law for political reasons.  And as a result, Democrats are fomenting a dangerous racial backlash from the minority communities with their false anti-law enforcement provocative narratives.

So, there ‘tis.

I am continually amazed by the contradiction (or mental gymnastics)in the position that seeks to take firearms from everyone EXCEPT the police while decrying the police as oppressors and murderers.

I wonder how (if at all) the support of democrat candidates by police unions in these democrat controlled cities (Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, etc.) will be affected by this trend? Or, will politics rule the day…status quo.

Yup, Democrats are the worst “racists” going they have became enemies to the common person. They willingly teach people to be criminals and laugh about it.
This is exactly why they need to be voted out in overwhelming numbers and some of them need to be arrested for instigating violence against I.C.E. and those who are sworn to uphold the laws of the country.
