The state of New Jersey under first-term progressive Democratic Governor Phil Murphy has become a sanctuary haven for illegal aliens, Murphy along with higher learning institutions like prestigious Rutgers University have formed an alliance to aid illegal immigrants with legal expenses, all at the taxpayers’ expense.

To date, the 61-year-old former United States Ambassador to Germany has siphoned off more than $2.1 million dollars of public funds for the creation of a legal defense fund, in which Rutgers University is now also fully engaged.

The University which receives better than 20% of its total revenue from the federal government plans to use its resources to help illegal aliens avoid deportation.

Rutgers has created a new job listing for a “research associate” within the school’s law division that will represent minors in Newark’s Immigration Court.

According to Campus Reform, the new position will focus primarily with the universities Immigrant Rights Clinic, designed in providing various resources for illegal aliens who can’t otherwise afford legal services.

The job description includes reaching out to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) program.

However on the flip side of the immigration coin are those states that refuse to use their college campuses as partisan political incubators, providing a controlled environment that stifles critical thinking and independence.

Breitbart News reported this week that the South Dakota Board of Regents will launch an investigation into leftist bias and indoctrination on campus.

“Exposure to diverse ideas in political, philosophical, scientific, literary, artistic and other disciplines is an important part of that experience,” South Dakota Board of Regents President Kevin V. Schieffer argued.

There’s little doubt that the number one issue currently plaguing universities across America, is the willful indoctrination by leftist professors and administrators infiltrating young impressionable minds with progressive dogma.

However, there’s an equally important and no doubt more pragmatic issue facing New Jersey residence regarding taxpayer funds being misappropriated by Governor Murphy to the tune of $2.1 million dollars. Most recently doling out over $250,000 for law students to rep illegal aliens in court

“Families who came to New Jersey for a better life do not deserve to be torn apart by the federal government’s cruel and discriminatory policies,” New Jersey Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy said at the time the initiative was announced.

Adding “Deportation is one of the harshest consequences an individual can face under U.S. law, yet most immigrants do not have the right to appointed counsel and many cannot afford an attorney,” he added. “This funding will help provide critical legal representation to low-income residents who are detained and facing deportation in New Jersey and have no one to defend their rights.”

No doubt a noble endeavor, however, Murphy’s actions aren’t confined to misappropriating taxpayer funds, which on its face is a political action.

Murphy by announcing New Jersey is a sanctuary state has aligned himself with such characters as Mayor de Blasio and Governor Cuomo of New York, and California’s Governor Gavin Newsom. All of whom are in violation of Federal Immigration Law.

Which states; “Title 8, U.S.C. § 1324(a) defines several distinct offenses related to aliens. Subsection 1324(a)(1)(i)-(v) prohibits alien smuggling, domestic transportation of unauthorized aliens, concealing or harboring unauthorized aliens, encouraging or inducing unauthorized aliens to enter the United States, and engaging in a conspiracy or aiding and abetting any of the preceding acts. Subsection 1324(a)(2) prohibits bringing or attempting to bring unauthorized aliens to the United States in any manner whatsoever, even at a designated port of entry. Subsection 1324(a)(3). Violators are subject to fines, imprisonment or both.

Which begs the question, why hasn’t the Justice Department brought charges against these elected officials? No doubt this would go all the way to the Supreme Court, however for the sake of our Republic, it’s a fight we must finally have.

The lies, deceit, and attacks by the republicans are a desperate attempt to salvage a disastrous presidency which has cost this country. Four more years of this fascist president will cost our democracy for decades to come.

I don’t know what country you live in, unless you are one of the illegal aliens, but America is doing much better now, yet New Jersey is getting MUCH worse. Why do the taxpayers HAVE to pay thousands of taxpayer dollars every month for each illegal, while the citizens get NOTHING?

Glid51, your remarks do not address the article or add anything to the discussion. You and your ilk will be the reason the “disastrous” president will be re-elected. You speak of “cost our democracy”, yet you can’t see the “cost” illegals are having now and in the future. How many illegals are you sheltering and providing for?

I request that thee federal government cut off all funds to Rutgers University. It is bad enough that we have a Socialist governor without wasting federal tax dollars to further damage the state.
