CNN Anchor References a Fetus as a Child Before Reversing Herself

A slip of the tongue by a former Fox News host during a heated abortion debate that a fetus is indeed a child, revealed the true feelings of CNN Anchor Alisyn Camerota.

The apparent gaffe had the daytime host of CNN’s “New Day” quickly attempting to walk-back the slip-up during her interview segment with Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill, discussing the Supreme Court’s recent ruling upholding one part of Indiana’s 2016 law requiring abortion mills to show respect and bury or cremate fetal remains.

However the court declined to consider the states contention that abortions should be blocked dependent on race, disability, or sex.

The 52-year old anchor began her interview with an incredibly incentive question, which has become the trademark within recent years of CNN, regarding those who disagree with the networks progressive dogma, especially concerning the hot-button issue of abortion.

“I’m just curious” Camerota coolly inquired, “Why would you want a family to have a child with a severe disability?”

Attorney General Hill responds stating, “Well, the issue that the general assembly faced was not with regard to the question you pose, it’s the question of the rights and consideration of the unborn child in terms of discriminatory actions of eliminating that opportunity at life.”

Adding, “Making a decision based solely on race or disability certainly is a discriminatory practice. And no decision in terms of whether or not to have a child should be based on that solely.”

Camerota doing her best Jim Acosta impersonation responds, “But that confuses me, because as you know there are lots of terminations of pregnancies based on the fact that there are severe abnormalities of a fetus. And so why would you take away the choice from a family?”

Hall patiently replays, attempting to make his position clearer, “Well it’s not a matter of taking away that choice. It’s a matter of making that decision solely on the basis of not wanting a child because the child doesn’t have a particular characteristic. We have examples every day of children who appear to have disabilities or concerns or problems, prenatal, that are born, and live very productive lives and families who support those children.”

The back and forth continued, until Camerota within the heated exchange of the debate, momentarily slips-up forgetting her well rehearsed lines and utters, “Why would lawmakers force parents to bring that child to fruition?”

The CNN Anchor, to the dismay of her viewing audience actually acknowledges (perhaps without thinking), several times within the debate that there’s a child (not a fetus), growing within a woman’s womb.

However she does catch herself within this particular exchange, “Yeah but lots of families make that decision based on — Hold on a second. Lots of families do have to make that decision based on the single characteristic of finding out their children, that their fetus has a severe abnormality,” she said.

The slip-up had David Rutz tweeting out; “CNN’s Alisyn Camerota refers to unborn as “children” before catching herself and calling it a fetus during combative interview with Indiana Attorney General

Coincidently Vice President Pence also responded to the Supreme Court’s ruling on Tuesday.

“As Governor of IN I was proud to sign a law that requires remains of aborted babies be treated w/dignity & respect and blocks groups like Planned Parenthood from the horrific practice of selling fetal tissue. Today’s decision by the Supreme Court was a victory for life!”

Pence also addressed the court’s decision to allow the abortion ban to remain blocked.

“Today, Justice Thomas wrote: SCOTUS has been zealous in the past in barring discrimination based on sex, race, & disability,” Pence wrote in another tweet.

“Hopeful someday soon SCOTUS will recognize the same protections for the unborn when they rule on future appeals of pro-life legislation.”

Just like NBC deleted Alex Trebek’s public reference to thanking viewers for their thoughts and “PRAYERS” in his battle against cancer.
THE PROTECTORS OF FREE SPEECH (yeah, right!!!) CENSORED HIS REFERENCE TO “PRAYERS.”

BUT WHAT IF SOME PRAYED TO ALLAH ON THIS ONE???? (I KNOW THAT NO MUSLIM DID) BUT IF A MUSLIM DID PRAY…. THAT WOULD BE DISCRIMINATION AGAINST MUSLIMS…. NOT JUST CHRISTIANS. AND I KNOW NBC WOULD
    N E V E R DO THAT!!!!!!!!

All this focus on abortion everytime we are nearing a presidential election is BS! It’s just a distraction to keep taxpayers from focusing on the real issues like outrageous gov’t. waste and spending. The country is bankrupt and clowns in Washington just keep on spending.
