The Administration faced with an untenable situation at the border, has announced that they’re in the process of hiring a private contractor that will be responsible for transporting upward of 225,000 migrant children and their families to shelters all across the country over the next 5-years.

The federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE), is currently recruiting for the services of a “highly responsible” contractor that “fully embraces the philosophy” of treating all unaccompanied minors (UACs) and family units (FAMUs) with “dignity and respect,” according to a May 13th federal procurement document.

The overall cost in getting these kids and their families to other facilities will cost over $306 million dollars of taxpayer money. ICE will pay this year alone over $100 million dollars to a private contractor to ferry illegal children and their families, to shelters and detention centers across the country.

The exact figure will come to $101,814,705.60 for the 2019 fiscal year, about 20% higher than what ICE spent to fly and drive unaccompanied migrant children and their families in 2018, according to revised figures.

A spokesman for ICE explained, “The current apprehension/transfer rate of unaccompanied migrant children (UAC) and their families (FAMU), could not have been foreseen when the original…ceiling was established in FY14.”

Adding that Homeland Security did not anticipate the “larger than expected influx” of unaccompanied minors and families from Central America would be rushing to America after the 2016 Presidential election.

The new directive by the Administration, once the private company is hired would be tasked with transporting approximately 60,000 people a year. Arranging commercial flights and ground transportation for migrant children up to age 17 as well as adults with children and will provide food, clothing and hygiene products during transit.

A spokesman for the Administration explained, “Sometimes the contractor will have to plan commercial or charter flights in a period of less than 24 hours, and on-demand escort-services.”

The new directive by the Administration shifts some of the responsibility to the private contractor for “generating transport documents, records, and reports,” and also if those arraignments can’t be made in a timely manner, the contractor would be responsible for keeping those children safe and in his custody.

The ICE document also outlines during the recruiting process, “Use of the contractor’s staging/waiting room satellite office space will be limited to 12 hours or less, and allow for ready access to food, water, clean clothes, hygiene products, and comfortable furniture.”

The document did not specify exactly which cities the migrants will be transported to, leaving that decision to the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), which has the “sole authority” in placing unaccompanied minors and families anywhere in the country.

However, a spokesman for ORR acknowledged that the agency is operating at 85%-95% capacity, Adding, “which requires ORR to make placements across the full spectrum of locations requiring escorting one or two children at a time instead of transports for larger groups of UACs together.”

The President had acknowledged a while back that the only immediate solution in light of Congress’s refusal to do their jobs, and come up with a viable immigration package that would also seriously address our national security interests along with the growing humanitarian crisis at the border, coupled with the unfair burden being inflicted on Border States, would be to transport those thousands of migrants to other cities all across America.

No doubt the ramification of such a move, might actually get Congress off their collective butts and actually begin working with the President…once outraged voters begin holding them accountable,

I’m sure all of the liberal leftist posters over on AOL would gladly take in a few illegal migrant children and raise them.
They’re obviously very concerned about the way the U.S. government is abusing these illegals.

I find this so unacceptable. I truly believe we are so full of the kool-aid we’ve been forced to drink that we have no brain power left. Why are we spending all this money when our homeless vets, and unfortunate homeless people are in such dire need of help. I’m all for spending to load these invaders into buses, trains, planes and take them right back to their home countries. Our laws MUST BE CHANGED!

If ‘chain immigration’ is so good, how about ‘chain deportation?’ Don’t separate the families, ship them all back so they can be together.

Notice how the MSM keeps things like this, the negatives of immigration, hidden from their audiences. Most people have no idea of the negative impacts of immigration to our country, especially the economic and environmental ones.

As a Canadian I just scratch my head and wonder, how many are living on the streets and the next stop is Canada. This does not make sense as Europe is finding out.
