The migrant crisis is proving to be a bonanza for one group in particular so says the director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.

Appearing Wednesday on “Fox & Friends, drug czar James Carroll addressed the migrant crisis at our southern border which is totally overwhelming Border Agents, thus allowing Mexican drug cartels to smuggle drugs across the border with much greater ease.

“These drug traffickers, they’re smart, they know what they’re doing,” said Carroll, “They send the immigrants through, they wait until Customs and Border Protection is manned up, dealing with the migrants, then it’s an open border and they sail the drugs in, they flood the zone with drugs.”

The crisis is compounded further with a flood of new refugees from Central America coming to the U.S. as “family units” creating ad additional burden for agents creating what is widely considered by both parties a humanitarian crisis.

Moreover the flood of additional migrants from as far away as Nicaragua, including the tens of thousands of migrants traveling freely across Mexico (unchallenged) in caravans, allowing drug smugglers to successfully  increase their operation getting more drugs in the U.S. while Border agents are distracted with capturing and detaining migrants.

Because of the large influx of unaccompanied children requiring immediate care, Border agents are unable to process adult migrants adequately resulting in a huge backlog of migrants being detained just across the border.

For example in San Diego only about 80 migrants a day are being processed while across the border in neighboring Tijuana, over 4,800 migrants are waiting to enter the U.S., and are being detained by Mexican authorities.

Carroll noted that more than 70,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in 2017, much of it illicit substances coming across the border from Mexico, most notable drugs such as fentanyl and heroin

Carroll added that more than one million pounds of drugs were seized on our southern border alone.

However, conceded that “We don’t know how much though got across in total that we couldn’t seize.”

The Mexican government has apparently given up admitting that they are powerless in combating the drug lords thus they plan to decriminalize illegal drugs, opting instead to treat drug users rather than putting them in jail.

In a statement by Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador released about the new policy, “The only real possibility of reducing the levels of drug consumption is to lift the ban on those that are currently illegal, and redirect the resources currently destined to combat their transfer and apply them in programs— massive, but personalized, of reinsertion and detoxification.”

Carroll said he disagrees with Mexico’s new approach. Stating “It would make the problem so much worse for them and us, we are committed to saving lives,” Carroll said. “We have to do this.”

In a recent interview with Breitbart News Carroll once again touched on the crisis at our southern border stating, “I think it’s important for everyone to realize, when we talk about the southwest border, 93% of the heroin that comes into the country comes from Mexico. So it’s coming right across the border.”

Adding, “We know fentanyl is being produced in Mexico as well as China, and coming across the border, as well,” continued Carroll. “Even cocaine from Columbia is not all coming by sea, some of it is also coming up through the southwest border, as well.”

The drug czar also took the opportunity to praise President Trump’s efforts in combating this menace, “Under this President, we have more people accessing treatment than ever before.”

Adding, “Six billion dollars, with the President pushing for this, the President signed it. Another six billion dollars to help with this across the board, whether it’s prevention, which we’re leading some great efforts here at the White House, as well as the rest of the administrations, treatment to help people that need it, and as well as for our law enforcement and interdiction partners to go after this not just along the border, but we’re reaching out overseas and tackling this at the source country where it’s coming from.”

A simple soultion but a bad business model as it would actually work taking the profit out for all involved like out politicians, bankers, law enforcement policing for profit, lawyers ans so on. Just start a mandatory nation wide drug testing program with strict enforcement so nobody gets away with anything but it would take the profit out of it for the above and more and cost much less than any wall or detention centers. The main thing is it would actually work so don`t look forward to it any time soon, never mind what they say as none of them tell the truth much to begin with especially when money is concerned, including the police the actual worst in leadership.

This is just the tip of the ice berg.
We spend money on immigrants, drug interdiction, drug rehab, medical needs of the immigrants when after they cross the boarder. Much more than we can afford.
There is so much more to this and are representatives have turned their back on us!! They say they care but their actions say otherwise!!
