According to a recently released study, sanctuary city policies have continually blocked federal authorities from deporting illegal immigrants who come from countries which have been designated as state sponsors of terrorism by the U.S. State Department.

The study – released on the 9th of May – conducted by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI), found, “For a 27-month period ending on December 31, 2017, law enforcement agencies and jails refused to honor 44 immigration holds on citizens from countries the United States has designated as state sponsors of terrorism.

Of the 44 illegal immigrants from state-sponsored countries who were blocked from being deported, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) classified 39 of them as level 1 and 2 threats.

Included among the offenses committed by these illegals was a homicide, sexual assault, kidnapping, aggravated assault, burglary, and fraud.

A state sponsor of terror is defined as any country that the secretary of state concludes is continuously lending financial or other kinds of support to aid acts of terrorism. The four countries which currently meet this criterion includes North Korea, Sudan, Iran, and Syria.

In a statement, the Executive Director of the Immigration Reform Law Institute, Dale L. Wilcox, said, “Sanctuary laws are no longer a theoretical faculty lounge debate, they are causing very real threats to our safety as individuals and as a nation… Already there are innocent victims who have lost their lives as a result of sanctuary laws that defy common sense.”

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that of the states which have continually refused detainer requests for these criminal illegal immigrants from ICE, California comes in at the head of the pack.

During the time period of the study, the one-party leftist state refused to hand over 27 illegal aliens who hailed from countries on the state-sponsors of terrorism list. In second place, with eight, was Washington state. Minnesota and Iowa tied for third, with both states protecting two illegal immigrants each. Texas, Arizona, Nebraska, Massachusetts, and Illinois all were found to have refused one detainer request each.

“If one of these aliens shielded from the law commits an act of mass terrorism, the politicians and activists who push for sanctuary laws will have a lot to answer for,” Wilcox added in his statement.

The study follows a seemingly ever-escalating debate regarding the role ICE plays in catching and deporting illegal migrants.

In response to President Trump’s stance toward illegal immigration, a growing number of left-leaning states and jurisdictions have put into place policies which essentially tie ICE’s hands behind their back.

Many state legislatures that are controlled by conservatives have responded to these drastic measures by banning such practices via the withholding of funds to cities who have attempted to enact sanctuary policies.

The Trump administration has too looked to counter sanctuary city laws by utilizing the power of the purse. President Trump recently sparked outrage and controversy when he proposed bussing illegal migrants into ‘sanctuary cities’ and releasing them there to punish those pushing for these dangerous policies. If we follow liberal logic, these cities should be grateful.

We’ve been very lucky…….so far. These Demshevik controlled cities and states will be called to account if there is a terror attack and it can be traced back to their policies. Then it’ll be SHTF time for them.
