Anyone familiar with the “Where’s Waldo” children’s series will know that it features cartoons of various venues with crowds of hundreds – even thousands — of people covering each page. Among them is Waldo, wearing his iconic red and white striped sweater. That challenge is to find him.

That book came to mind as I pondered whatever happened to Michael Avenatti. He seems to have disappeared into the human mass. In the event you have a short attention span for politics – or no interest at all – you need to know that Avenatti is that sleazy bald-domed lawyer that drove his representation of cinema slut Stormy Daniels into a brief era of national prominence.

Avenatti’s claim to fame was not the profession of his client but rather her alleged assignation with Donald Trump – a private performance by Daniels the occurrence of which Trump vehemently denied, although he did pay for her “nondisclosure.”

For months, Avenatti’s every provocative word – his every shameless stunt – was grist for the media mill. He appeared so frequently on so many cable news channels that he even proffered the idea of having his own show. Judging by the airtime the networks gave him, he practically did. For the time, he was the useful idiot of the Trump Resistance Movement.

Saying that fame went to Avenatti’s head is an understatement of the highest magnitude. He started throwing his name about as a self-proclaimed serious candidate for President of the United States – and incredibly – and shamelessly — some of his media started to list him among the real potential contenders.

There was only one reason Avenatti was so popular among the #NeverTrump media. He was an endless source of provocative – albeit dubious – attacks on the President. He would appear uninvited at press conferences and court hearings – sometimes alone, but often with his client. He always had statements for reporters who did not even ask questions.

He crashed the confirmation hearings for Judge Brett Kavanaugh by producing a woman with sensational accusations against the jurist. Unfortunately for Avenatti, none of them were true – and he knew it.

That was the beginning of the end for the Avenatti media road show. It was one stunt too many. His reputation and credibility plunged like the 2018 stock market. Having destroyed his credibility, the “idiot” was no longer useful.

When the media engaged him as a Trump attack dog, they did not reveal much of the man behind the pernicious anti-Trump narrative. And why would they? The man behind the constant public accusations was a person with more skeletons in the closet than serial killer John Gacy had in the crawl space of his home.

Once he was no longer useful, the media turned on him. In obliterating his credibility, he made all those folks at CNN and MSNBC look bad – and they did not like it. Suddenly, the public learned that Avenatti was a large-scale tax delinquent, in areas paying his office rent and had a spindle full of other unpaid bills. In fact, his liabilities ran into the millions of dollars. In one case, he was hit with a $10 million judgment. That is not an accounting error.

The women upon whose backs he stood to gain his notoriety eventually turned on him. And why not? His representation got Stormy Daniels sued by Trump – and she lost in court. His false accuser during the Kavanaugh hearing could be up for criminal charges. Both women are no longer represented by Avenatti – and both have accused him of professional malfeasance.

Whether Avenatti is in the shadow for good (and that would be good) or whether he will find yet another offensive way to shoot off his mouth before the cameras is yet to be seen. But, for now, his fall from grace is one small blessing in this highly contentious era in which we live.

So, there ‘tis.

I sure hope he is gone for good. Maybe he is working at WalMart trying to pay all his bills.

Whoever runs this organization is truly representative of its title … a dimwit, and so, too, whoever writes the drivel that emanates from it. Not sure how this reached my email’s inbox, but for sure it won’t be coming in any more! (Get a real job, guys, and stop pretending to be writers)

avenatti’s slimy-ness aside, it has nothing at all to do with whether Trump had a thing with Daniels. She seems fairly up front about her lifestyle but Trump is not only married by a liar, that made obvious by his “grab them…” statement. He isn’t even smart enough to pay attention to who might be listening when he says stupid things.
Someone like him, should not be a diplomat, let alone a president. Of anything.

But, he is and you are not. Neither is H, the pinnacle of the Progressive movement. She was the ONE who would usher in the “One World Government” to massive praise. Thank God Trump won the 2016 Presidential election of this Republic!
