Reality Check on Voter Fraud

Reality Check on Voter Fraud

One of the narratives being proffered by Democrats and the left-wing press is that voter fraud does not exist – or at least it is so minimal that it has no impact on election outcomes.  That is the false claim of authoritarians – you know, the ones responsible for most of the vote stealing.

It was only last year that CNN’s Chris Cuomo made that audacious claim, which prompted me to write a response.  That specious argument was again resurrected by CNN, this time in the person of the smarmy and smug John Avalon – one of the networks most strident #NeverTrump personalities.  In addition to his daily appearances on CNN, Avalon is editor of the Daily Beast.

Hosting a segment misnamed “Reality Check,” Avalon presented a totally mendacious brief purporting to prove that vote fraud is not a problem – and that the real problem is making voters prove their right to vote by presenting some form of official identification card.

There is an unfortunate symmetry in his argument.  Concealing vote fraud and not wanting people to prove their eligibility – which leads to vote fraud — both benefit the Democratic Party.  I say this with years of experience in investigating and fighting against vote fraud.  Finding it is never a problem, but prosecuting it is.  While it is relatively easy to find fraudulently caste ballots, it is often very difficult to find out who was responsible.

And even when you can find the guilty parties, the prosecutorial offices and the courts are usually in the control of the same party that is engaging in the vote stealing in the first place.  No matter the strength of the evidence, these cases are routinely thrown out of court by compliant judges.  If you only count convictions for one or two types of vote fraud – which is what the cited academic studies do — you will naturally see very low numbers.  It is a bit like counting people who get speeding tickets and assuming that they are the only speeders.

When I told a Democrat precinct worker friend about Cuomo’s contention, that only a few hundred votes have been stolen in the past ten years, he brazenly admitted that he could easily steal that many votes in his ward.  That was after he mockingly laughed uproariously at the Cuomo claim.

Only once has massive vote fraud been determined to overturn a presidential election, and that was in 1960 when historians generally agree that Jack Kennedy carried Texas and Illinois – and therefore the election in the Electoral College – because of the corrupt casting and counting of the votes in those two states.  Elections for lower offices are more frequently stolen by a variety of schemes.

In a countywide race in Cook County, Illinois, it was commonly accepted that a Republican candidate would have to be ahead by more than 100,000 votes to win because the Chicago Democrat machine had the ability to steal that many votes.  In my own unsuccessful campaign for the Republican nomination for mayor, 42 percent of the votes disappeared – were never counted.  I faced one of the problems of getting justice against election fraud.  First, the local prosecutor would not take up the case.  That left me the prospect of a very long and expensive civil suit that would be adjudicated by the same courts.

Smarmy Avalon also advanced a narrative that the short-lived presidential commission to investigate vote fraud was only created by President Trump to find enough illegal votes so he could claim to have actually won the popular vote against Hillary Clinton.  Avalon claimed that the Commission was also designed to push for voter ID as a means of suppressing the Black vote.

Those claims, as Avalon reported, were made by former Commissioner Matthew Dunlop.  Dunlap is an example of putting the opposition party on panels in these days of the #NeverTrump resistance movement.  His contentions lack any evidentiary basis – just his partisan political opinion.  It is not surprising that Avalon and CNN would pump it up as fact-based and present a segment devoid of an alternative view.

Avalon showed utter ignorance of reality during his Reality Check segment.  He said that it is true that there are dead people on the voting rolls, but it takes time to find out that they are dead.  Wrong.  There are not just a few of the recently deceased, but there are millions on the rolls across the country. San Diego has more people on the voting rolls than there are eligible voters – and has examples of unregistered or illegal voters casting ballots for the dearly departed in every election.  It has been said that in Chicago, the most Democrat precincts are the cemeteries.

Over-voting is another problem.  During one investigation, we found several precincts where the Democrat vote exceeded the requests for ballots – more votes counted than people actually voting.  And how, pray tell, do you find those who did that?

Vote fraud is a major problem, especially in the major cities.  During several elections in Chicago, we had to call in federal marshals to guard the precincts in areas where voting irregularities were all too common.

Avalon’s Reality Check was textbook propaganda.

FOOTNOTE: If you wonder why I call Avalon smarmy, you need to see that poop eating grin he gets whenever something negative is said about Trump.

If voter fraud is so rampant, how come Kris “King of Voter Suppression” Kobach’s commission, with Trump backing him, couldn’t find enough cases to keep going? He found, what, 8,000 maybe cases out of 139 million votes? Not enough to turn a city mayoral race, much less the presidency. Nope. Just another scheme to back up what one GOP leader said when he didn’t know a recorder was running. “I don’t want everyone to vote. The fewer they vote, the better for us.”

Then why do you fear ID proof to vote? It surely cannot be because it might make a legal voter afraid to vote. But of course, it would likely cause an illegal alien pause. And you surely would not want to stop their votes, would you? When are you liberals going to do an honor check?

This article tells the truth. The Democrats fought to not allow the voter commission to continue because they did not want to share any of the voting data from their states. The Democrats do not want voter ID’s, and 54% of Democrats now say that they want illegal aliens to be able to vote. The Democrats are scum and all deserve to be voted out of office. Hopefully, President Trump will serve 2 terms and be able to build the wall and have requirements to present voter ID’s before he leaves office.

Republicans want ID proof because of a company calked MorphoTrust. Look up MorphoTrust, and look in their press release archives starting from 2013. That is when the federal laws covering elections in states which practiced systemic voter discrimination were dropped. And that’s why all the maneuvering to change voting laws are underway.

I worked at the NC DMV in 2014. I saw it happening. It has to do w/ photo recognition, tracking criminals, and a whole host of other things. They just want to get pictures of every black man or woman in America and have it in a great big database.

Check out the press releases .. if they’re still there. MorphoTrust, of Billerica, MA. Where photo ID is an industry.

It is not voter fraud that is the problem. It is voter suppression and gerrymandering. My understanding is that both parties are guilty of a certain amount of voter fraud but,as FDRII said above, there is so little as to be not a problem.
