How the Left Uses Immigrants

We are all aware of the conflict that has permeated the media and caused an American divide—the issue of immigrant children being separated from their parents at the border. Most blame Trump and his policy to enforce the law which protects the United States from the invasion of illegal immigrants who live in the United States and earn wages that aren’t taxed.

The media promotes the Left agenda that attempts to protect illegal immigrants – all while creating American compassion for the families that attempt to come into the country illegally. The Left would have the public believe they have an interest in protecting the children who suffer from the illegal actions of their parents, but in actuality, there is another interest that is in play that they hide from the American people.

Political gains hurt American values

It has been proven that the Democratic Party is dependent on the votes that they received from illegal immigrants. According to the Fair, illegal aliens are counted when apportioning congressional districts, which means that areas with large numbers of illegal alien residents gain additional representatives in Congress. This is an actual protected law under Evenwel v. Abbot where the Supreme Court of the United States held that both non-citizens and illegal aliens may be counted when apportioning congressional districts.

Needless to say, this explains why the Left place emphases on the protection of illegal immigrants, even though the administrations prior to Trump had already set the standard of separating children from their parents who attempted to enter into the U.S. illegally.

Why this hurts so badly

By placing attention and favor upon the illegal immigrants, the government is saying to American citizens that it does not care about the fact that jobs are at risk, the economy is being harmed, taxes are being raised, and more serious issues within America are not being addressed. Illegal aliens come to the United States to take jobs that offer them greater opportunity and are hired for wages lower than an employer would pay to hire U.S. workers.

According to researchers at the Pew Hispanic Center, the number of illegal aliens in the workforce is 8 million out of an overall population of 11.2 million illegal aliens. It is also noted by the researches that about 8.5 million jobs are encumbered by illegal alien workers. To make matters worse, Americans are paying taxes that support the programs that have been created by the government to “protect” immigrants and their ability to remain with their children when they cross the border illegally. We are also paying for any other laws that are enacted to somehow protect the interest of immigrants who are allowed to stay in America. Paying higher taxes to protect those who take jobs from the American people is both ludicrous and insane. Especially when those same individual U.S. citizens born and raised in America are hurting for employment.

America is currently dealing with reforms on foreign policy, as well as feeling the consequences of the taxes placed on tariffs from other countries. We need to focus our attention on the issues that will improve our position globally if we hope to remain the superpower that we currently are. This can only happen if we open our eyes and see when we are being used to push personal and political agendas that won’t truly benefit us, as individuals living within the U.S., in the long run.

The myth of the “welfare queen illegal immigrant” is just that. Most work, many under the table, but others who are on record, paying social security and medicare payments, and never seeing the benefits as they are afraid to apply. And all of them pay gas and sales taxes regardless of their documentation. BTW, if all you right wing folks think the US is finally on the right track, I fully recommend you read this to see what track we’re really on, then decide if you want to go on supporting it. https://eand.co/if-fascisms-predictable-why-do-americans-keep-being-surprised-by-it-3a5794448dd2

TROLL Alert. Nothing that you have said above justifies breaking our immigration laws! Funny, you fail to mention that everyone who enters this country without authorization IS a CRIMINAL. And if you check the demographic in the prison population, you’ll find that there are a LOT of foreign nationals who have committed additional crimes, and some very violent ones, too.

Now, pay attention to a naturalized citizen who understands the issue:

“Every sovereign nation has the authority to determine who can be a citizen and who can be present within its borders. As the nation’s former chief law enforcement officer, and a citizen who believes in the rule of law, I cannot condone anyone coming into this country illegally. We are a nation of laws. When people fail to follow the law with impunity, it encourages further disobedience and breeds disrespect for the rule of law; and that is not America.” — Alberto Gonzales, the nation’s 80th Attorney General, speech to the Austin Economics Club.

Where there is no penalty for violations, what benefit is any law?

FDR II, you are absolutely correct. When I read articles like this, the right-wing slant is incredibly apparent. Why do they cherry-pick the facts and fail to bring the statement to full conclusion? Because that would undermine their positions.

For example, in California, crops are rotting in the fields as undocumented workers leave the state. No Americans are rushing in to harvest lettuce or other crops. The work is too difficult for most Americans, who want something cushy with better benefits.

If undocumented workers are counted for Congressional apportionment, then the folks in Texas, Arizona, etc should be really happy. They get extra Congress people!!

Undocumented workers cannot collect welfare, unemployment, or other benefits for which they pay taxes. (Yup. They do pay taxes out of their wages. And they pay sales taxes, just like the rest of us.)

Valid studies have shown that undocumented workers, rather than being a financial drain, are a “wash.” That is, what they take is about equal to what they contribute. (Populations in many Red States should take a lesson. They reap the benefits of Blue State taxes while contributing little in taxes themselves.)

Undocumented workers also are less likely to commit crimes than the typical American because they don’t want to attract police attention and risk deportation.

Next time, these guys should try doing objective research into the topic instead of just posting an obviously right-slanted article posing as facts.

I don’t belong to any political party, and I am the daughter of immigrants! My dad would be aghast and turn in his grave if he saw what is happening now regarding immigrants!

The second most important commandment that Jesus gave to true Christians was to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:39)! He did not exclude anyone because of race, culture or nation; and neither shall I!

The Israelites, chosen people of God in the Old Testament, showed respect to the strangers, or alien residents, who lived among then! Everyone should be doing the same, even here!

So, if illegal workers are counted for Congress, you’re complaining that states like Texas and Arizona get more representation? You should be happy about that.

In addition, what jobs are undocumented workers taking away from Americans? We don’t see Americans rushing to work in the fields or in food processing factories, which is where most undocumented people work. In fact, many growers in California are finding their crops rotting as undocumented workers leave the state. No Americans are coming to take their place.

They also pay Social Security taxes by using fake numbers. So the money piles up, never to be claimed by the workers themselves.

Many studies have shown that undocumented workers are a “wash” when it comes to whether they are a drain on taxes or not. They do gain some benefits at America’s expense, but they also pay taxes that benefit America.

They also are less likely to commit crimes than the average American because they want to stay below the radar, not attracting police attention.

Their low wages also help keep down the cost of America’s farm goods. Have you noticed what a head of lettuce now costs since the crackdown?

Unlike your implications, undocumented workers cannot apply for welfare or unemployment. They pay in, but they can’t draw anything out.

Next time, try doing some more evenhanded research. Your slant to the far right is truly dimwit.

We are all “legal residents” of planet earth, and it’s such a shame that man’s governments, their politics, and their nationalism, divide and separate the human family! I am a daughter of immigrants, and my dad would turn aghast in his grave if he now saw what is happening here now!

The Israelites, or chosen people of God, as reflected in the Bible, showed respect to the strangers or alien residents who lived among them!

And Jesus, God’s son, tells us that the second greatest commandment is to love our fellowman (Matthew 22:39. He did not exclude anyone who is of a different race, of a different culture, or from a different nation! Both God and his son, Jesus, must be very disappointed and upset by such separating and dividing actions; and so am I, not belonging to any political party, but just the human race!!
