Fake Republicans on Fake News

Ana Navarro appears with painful regularity as a panelist on left-wing cable news shows. She is labeled as a “Republican strategist.” In that regard she is flying a false flag. She — like several of the other CNN/MSNBC showcased “Republicans” — attacks President Trump and Republicans with a consistency and ferocity only surpassed by such genetically pre-disposed never Trumpers as Rachel Maddow, Mika Brzezinski, Joe Scarborough, Larry O’Connell and Stephanie Ruhle.

The Navarro narrative is that Trump bombed Syria to divert media attention from the Mueller investigation – as if anything on God’s earth could distract the Trump/Republican/conservative hating left-wing media personalities from their unrelenting and myopic negative coverage of Trump.

In fact, even as the embers of the bombed facilities were still glowing, MSNBC segued from the bombing of Syria to return to the media bombing of Trump. They brought on California Democrat Congressman Eric Swalwell to express opposition to the bombing and to suggest that it is the result of reckless action by an unhinged and unstable President. So much for being distracted.

With regard to Navarro, she must think the American public is dumber than her. She would have us believe that Secretary of Defense Mattis, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the British and French governments and all those nations that endorsed the attack are all lackeys of President Trump. They conspired to help Trump get the press covering something other than their preferred anti-Trump narrative. Really?

She would have us believe that the red line drawn by President Obama and made indelible by Trump has no meaning. Navarro would suggest that Trump and our allies should stand down on national security so as not to interfere with the media’s obsession with its anti-Trump narratives.

As a person who surfs the news casts as a professional requirement, I do have one appreciation of Navarro. Whenever she appears, I know I can switch to another channel with the certainty that I will miss nothing of value – nothing new. Her hyper animated rants are sound over substance, and it sometimes seems that Navarro has poisoned herself with her own venom.
