Radical left Keith Ellison knows right to work creates jobs – but he doesn’t like it

There are times when folks on the radical left blurt out truths despite their best efforts to conceal them. Take the case of Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison – who is also the Vice Chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

Ellison represents the most Democrat and most liberal district in the state. His hardcore leftist positions (socialist, in fact) were evident when he once said that America has plenty of money -“it is just that the government doesn’t have it.” He added that “the government has a right to run the programs of the United States.” Ellison does not believe that the “rights” belong to the people and government should only fund what the people decide. In his world, the government must be compelled to fund what he decides.

More recently, Ellison was publicly lamenting the decision by Electrolux to move its manufacturing facilities from Minnesota to South Carolina. In addressing the reason for the move, he said that “They’re moving to South Carolina because in South Carolina they have a right-to-work state” – which means that workers do not have to join a union if they do not wish. And if they do not want to join the unions, they do not have to pay forced union dues. This is where we offer up in unison a big “well duh!” to Ellison.

The union-owned left argues that the non-union members benefit from contractual benefits negotiated by the union. That is a bit like having the local country club say you do not have to be a member, but you still have to pay dues because you benefit from the taxes paid by the country club.

Opposing right-to-work laws is just another example of how the political left abhors personal freedom and free choice. So-called progressive politics mean the government will control your decision-making, confiscate your money and do with it what they see fit. They even want to donate your money to candidates you do not like.

In an online video, Congressman Ellison implores Electrolux to reverse the decision and to save the jobs of the 1000 employees who will be thrust on the unemployment rolls. But, Mr. Ellison, it is NOT Electrolux that has caused the loss of those jobs. The company is fulfilling its legal obligation to customers and stockholders to bring down the cost of goods and to provide a return for the untold numbers of average Americans who benefit from the dividends – directly or through their pension funds.

The CAUSE of the departure is the anti-business regulations and taxes that you and your left-wing cohorts have foisted on the job-creating businesses in your state. This is not unique, the most Democrat and most liberal states in America are riding into economic insolvency because you and your liberal compadres believe the only course is for the government to have more of the people’s money.

Even though unions represent less than 10 percent of the American workers, you are beholden to the money and power of the leaders of organized labor. You can give them everything they demand, but you cannot make what they demand good for the American worker. Thanks to YOUR policies, 1000 of your constituents will be out looking for a job.

At least you know that your state is losing 1000 jobs because right-to-work laws create jobs. It is really quite simple. Make it more expensive to produce jobs and you will lose jobs. There is no reason for Electrolux to change its mind, but every reason for you to change your oppressive government philosophy.

Succinctly put! Amazing that people can’t follow the consequences of liberal policy.

Apologies to correct you Raimer, but that should be ” Leftist liberal policy “. What’s really encouraging however, is that every day more ordinary, hard-working, honest Americans & similar people worldwide are ” Waking Up Big Time ” to the communistic manifesto foisted on them by radical leftists like Keith Ellison.

In response they are rejecting outright the aforementioned & embracing conservative ideals that historically are proven to work & provide them with the freedoms to prosper in the most holistic, beneficial way available to themselves & the communities they live in.

      Cheers & Merry Christmas.
